Every space is unique. We start by assessing each project on an individual basis to identify the sound problem and provide customized solutions.
If your wall is leaking air, the rule of thumb is 50% of sound will pass through a 1% opening. We always check to see where air is leaking, address the leaks and then re-assess.
Foot fall and impact noise is a common problem with mixed use spaces. At ASM, we can quantify the issue and determine the actual IIC rating to confirm that your space meets code requirements.
ASM can confirm what your actual STC rating is for your walls and ceiling. We offer both Class 1 measurement with an optional engineering stamp and report or field-tested Class 2 measurements. We utilize a Larson Davis 831 Class 1 meter.
Reverberation time is a critical factor in how we experience our space. It determines speech intelligibility and the quality of sound. A great sound system in a reverberant space equals bad sound. This test allows ASM to determine exactly what solution is best for your space.
Structure-borne sound can be a challenge to isolate. Our vibration amplifier allows us to chase a problem noise back to source and attenuate. We also have the ability to isolate faulty components in machinery by listening to the component in noisy areas.
